Fergus is a limestone town on the Grand River in Centre Wellington, known for its Scottish heritage, with retirees, Guelph commuters and rural estate owners making up most of our customers there.
Fergus housing runs from stone houses on the original streets near the river to newer subdivisions on the north and south edges and large rural lots on the county roads. The stone houses have thick walls and old basements, so the electrical route matters more than the yard, and a J-335 or J-355 by dolly is the usual job. The estate lots have room for anything, including the nine seat J-495 or a J-16 PowerPro swim spa, and a crane can park in the drive.
Rural Fergus is on well water, and Wellington County wells are hard and frequently high in iron, so every rural installation gets a pre-filter and a scale plan.
